"We have always loved the playing of Hoang Pham and know that he is going to bring something very special to the Schumann piano quintet. Playing in a string quartet, it all comes down to Beethoven, and the last of his Op. 18 quartets is so incredibly inventive, it has us constantly on our toes. FQ has known Tom Henry since we were residents together at the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts and we were thrilled to learn he had turned his hand to composition. An incredibly sophisticated and intuitive musician, we are very much looking forward to getting our hands on this new work."
